Rawa Blues Festival is the biggest, one of the oldest in Poland and one of the biggest in the world blues music festival. It has been organised since 1981 up to now in Katowice. The popular building of 'Spodek' is a venue of that event. A creator and an organiser of the festival is Ireneusz Dudek – Polish blues musician.
For first 10 years, only Polish artists have gathered on the festival. Since 1991, this event has became a stage for musicians from around the world.
The plan of the festival includes main concerts in Spodek where the most eminent musicians give concerts, performances on a 'small stage' (kind of a contest, the prize is a performance on the main stage), jam sessions in bars and music clubs, other artistic events as happenings, exhibitions, 'poetic cafe', music workshops.
This-year festival takes place in NOSPR – 30.09.2016 and in Spodek 1.10.2016. It is the 36th edition of Rawa Blues Festival.
Such music stars as Keb' Mo' 7 NOSPR Carey Harris, JJ Grey & Mofro, Shemekia Copeland, Albert Lee, Toronzo Cannon, Shakin' Dudu, Dżem will be there.
